The inaugural Junior South West Summer League has wrapped up, marking a strong start for a new regional competition that brought together young players, clubs and coaches across the South West.
Delivered across a 14‑week home and away season, the league was successfully run throughout the summer period and featured 18 teams competing across Orange Ball, Green Ball and Yellow Ball (18 & Under Mixed) divisions. The competition involved 80 junior players, representing four South West tennis clubs (Busselton Tennis Club, Bunbury Tennis Club, Dunsborough Tennis Club and Margaret River Tennis Club), and was supported by strong coach engagement throughout the season.
Designed to create more localised and development‑focused competition opportunities, the Junior South West Summer League provided players with a chance to compete in a fun, structured and supportive environment, while continuing to build their skills and love for the game.
The season concluded with some excellent match‑ups across all divisions, with the following results recorded:

- 18 & Under Mixed (Yellow Ball) – Busselton Tennis Club defeated Margaret River Tennis Club
Across all divisions, players demonstrated great sportsmanship, improvement and enthusiasm, highlighting the value of providing regular competitive play close to home. Coaches and club representatives played a key role in supporting players, contributing to the positive environment and overall success of the league.
The strong participation numbers and engagement from clubs indicate a promising future for the Junior South West Summer League as it continues to develop and grow.
