With Term 1 now well underway, excitement is building for one of Western Australia’s premier junior tennis events, the Fuel to Go and Play School Classic. The season’s biggest schools’ tennis celebration is fast approaching, and there’s still time for schools to enter and be part of the action!  

Supported by Healthway, MaxiBlock and Kinetic, and proudly bolstered by the D’Arcy Slater Foundation for Regional Events, the School Classic continues its mission to make tennis accessible, fun and rewarding for students across the state. 

This year’s calendar is one of the most expansive yet, with a total of 17 country events scheduled. These tournaments will stretch from the heart of the Wheatbelt in Cunderdin, all the way down to the picturesque courts of Albany, bringing competitive tennis and community spirit to regional towns and country schools. The first event kicks off on 19 February at Albany Tennis Centre for the Great Southern Academy Plate, and the final event currently scheduled for 20 March at the State Tennis Centre. 

In the metropolitan area, players can look forward to 8 events hosted across three fantastic venues; Alexander Park Tennis Club, Mt Lawley Tennis Club, and the State Tennis Centre. 

Each venue offers a welcoming environment for students of all skill levels to represent their schools, forge new friendships and experience the joy of competition. 

Whether you’re in the city or the regions, the Fuel to Go and Play School Classic offers a pathway to grow tennis participation, deepen school sporting engagement and create lasting memories for young athletes.
