Look, we’ve all done it. You get to the club, pull out your gear, and slap on some sunscreen right before you walk on court.
Here’s the thing, though. Sunscreen needs a bit of time – about 20 minutes – to soak in properly. If you apply it and start warming up straight away, you’re going to sweat a good amount of it off before it’s had a chance to do its job.
And while you’re at it, apply two coats. The first coat rarely covers everything evenly, and the second fills in the gaps. Just wait a minute or two between coats.
The simplest way around it is to make it part of your routine at home. Put it on right after you get dressed. That way, by the time you’re lacing up your shoes, it’s set, and you’re good to go from the first serve.
Don’t forget the easy-to-miss spots: ears, back of the neck, and the lips.

About Maxiblock Sunscreen
The Maxiblock story started back in the 1970s right here in Australia. The founding idea was simple: to make great sunscreens, sell them at a fair price, and protect you and your family from the harsh Aussie sun. Forty-five years later, this is still what drives them. They are serious about their responsibilities for the community and ecosystems, carefully considering what goes into their sunscreens and excluding problematic and unnecessary ingredients. All Maxiblock sunscreens are compliant with the Hawaii Reef Bill and deemed reef safe. Their tubes, bottles and labels are made with recycled and renewable materials whenever possible. Maxiblock Sunscreen is a proudly independent family business owned and operated by an experienced chemist. This means that they really understand and care about what goes into their products and are involved in every step of the process. For more information check out their website at maxiblock.com.au
