Tennis West is delighted to recognise Rob DeGruchy from Dunsborough Tennis Club as our Club Corner Volunteer of the Month for November 2025. 

For more than three years, Rob has been an essential part of the club’s maintenance committee, continually going above and beyond to keep the club in top shape and its community thriving. His dedication begins at sunrise, often seen blowing the courts, watering the gardens, emptying bins, and mowing lawns before most members have even arrived. 

Whether it’s organising new sheds, pathways, or pin-up boards, repairing nets, or clearing storm-damaged courts and drains, Rob ensures that the facilities are always safe, clean, and welcoming. Thanks to his efforts, the courts are open and ready for play each day, complete with balls set out for social sessions. 

But Rob’s contributions extend well beyond maintenance. He’s the club’s bus driver for social events, BBQ chef, and even Santa at the annual Christmas function. Known for his enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to lend a hand, Rob brings a special energy to every event, from fundraisers to fun days, where he’s often crowned best dressed. 

Always the first to arrive and the last to leave, Rob embodies the true spirit of community sport, generous, reliable, and endlessly positive. 

The Dunsborough Tennis Club committee shared:
