The 2025 WA Open 20K Men and 15K Women is set to bring some of Western Australia’s top players to the court once again, with the added incentive this year of a wildcard into the main draw of the Perth Tennis International ITF M25 #1 for the men’s singles winner, while the runner-up will receive a wildcard into qualifying.

Qualifying rounds start on Monday 22nd September with the finals to be played on Friday 26th September.

On the men’s side of the draw, the field is stacked with local talent. Defending champion Hans Bustiman returns, aiming to go back-to-back after his title run last year. Rising star Cameron Burton is in the mix, now signed to the University of Oregon and fresh off multiple junior ITF titles. While French-born Robin Eldin joins in this year, a standout on the U.S. college circuit. Rounding out the names to watch is Max Weir, a former State League MVP and Champion of Champions winner, who continues to be a major threat in both domestic and international competition.

The women’s draw is just as compelling. Elena Manoj, the Champion of Champions winner, brings strong form from both junior and senior events, while Karin Hiramatsu, key part of Hensman Park’s recent State League “three-peat,” is looking to translate her club success into a major individual title. Mahta Khanloo brings in recent momentum from her win over Nao Phang Ziyi in the W35 Nakhon Pathom event, and though much of her season has been spent fighting through qualifying rounds, her hard-court game and steady progress suggest she’s ready to make a deep run at the WA Open.

With local pride, ranking points, expected good weather and now ITF wildcard opportunities on the line for the Men, the 2025 WA Open promises a week of high-quality tennis and plenty of drama as WA’s best battle it out on home soil.
