Tristan Schoolkate’s breakout start to the season has continued, winning the ITF M25 Burnie International Men’s Doubles alongside Luke Saville.

Schoolkate and Saville did not drop a set throughout the campaign, eventually winning the final 7-5, 6-4 against fellow Australian’s Calum Puttergill and Adam Walton.

The win came off the back of a strong performance in the Burnie Challenger 75 Event the week before, making it through to the final alongside Luke Saville but going down to Aussies Marc Polmans and Max Purcell 7-6, 6-4.

Schoolkate also had a strong showing in the singles draw, advancing to the quarter-final but going down to France’s Maxime Chazal 6-2, 6-7, 6-3.

Fellow West Australian Derek Pham was unable to advance past the first round, losing to Aussie Matthew Romios in three sets 7-6, 4-6, 7-6.

In the women’s W25 event, WA’s Lily Fairclough made the doubles final with fellow Australian Olivia Gadecki. Unfortunately the pair went down to Aussie Destanee Aiava and Naiktha Bains (GBR) 6-3, 7-5.
