Due to other commitments Ms Jan Truscott has decided to resign from the Board of Tennis West. The Tennis West Board thanks outgoing past-President Jan Truscott for her contribution to the Board of Directors dating back to 2018 and for her leadership, as President of the Board, from 2019.

Jan’s leadership extended through the challenging 2020 period that involved pivoting a number of key Tennis West initiatives and programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, Jan worked closely with Tennis West’s Executive and staff to minimise the disruption of member services and to support important updates to our tennis community.

Jan made a significant contribution to the WA tennis community during her tenure and her passion for growing participation at all levels of tennis has made a tremendous and long-lasting impact in the community. With a desire to elevate the game’s profile across the State, Jan brought innovative ideas as well as an emphasis on expanding playing opportunities for all, regardless of age, ability and location.

Jan came to the Board with extensive business experience in management and governance within large corporate structures which proved extremely valuable during her time on the Board.

A sport close to her heart, Jan remains an active and involved member of the tennis family and broader sporting community. Starting her tennis career at East Fremantle Tennis Club with selection in state squads, Jan now regularly plays in and coordinates Leagues and competitive events at City Beach Tennis Club.

We thank Jan for her contribution to tennis throughout Western Australia and wish her well in her future endeavours.
