Tennis West is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Leslee Holmes and Ms Linda Wayman to the Tennis West Board. The pair will join the existing board of seven, supporting the continuing drive to deliver on good governance, innovation, strong government relations and the strategic development of tennis in Western Australia.

Selected from a strong pool of nominations, both Leslee and Linda were identified as best-fit candidates, demonstrating the exemplary skills, experience and connections to support the Board’s strategic plan and future vision.

Involved in tennis for the past 28 years, Leslee has a deep understanding of the relationships with schools, clubs and coaches as well as the desire for clubs to be actively involved in shaping their future. As Shire President at the Shire of Dandaragan and Vice Chair of the Wheatbelt Development Commission, Leslee spends plenty of time in regional WA and is closely connected to the diverse community in the Wheatbelt.

Having built and developed several businesses around the state including tennis academies, a caravan park and café, Leslee brings intimate knowledge of business management with a results-orientated mindset.

“I am passionate about the region in which I live and have always committed myself to promoting its community, sporting and economic development,” Leslee said.

“Tennis has never been in such a great position, and I am looking forward to bringing the regions into the exciting future of our great sport.”

Linda comes to the Board with extensive marketing, media, public affairs and tourism experience and has held a range of roles in both the private and government sector. With knowledge and expertise in the full spectrum of business strategy including strategic planning, risk and reputation management, brand building and marketing, community and government relations, and event management, Linda values authentic, collaborative and inclusive leadership.

Linda’s diverse experience has shaped her ability to drive innovation and change and respond to the competitive business landscape. Her background has seen her involved in the international marketing of the WA brand which has grown her passion for the positive impact of sport in WA.

As well as their professional expertise, both Leslee and Linda have held positions on various boards and advisory groups.

Tennis West warmly welcomes Leslee and Linda to the Board and looks forward to their innovative, well-rounded and valuable contribution in the near future.
