The 2021 CBH Country Tennis Championships were hotly contested earlier this month, with more than 115 country players hitting the courts of Alexander Park Tennis Club (Menora) for the longstanding event.

Despite some disruption caused by poor weather conditions associated with Cyclone Seroja, players travelled from the South West, Central Districts, Upper Great Southern, Peel, Moore Districts, Great Southern, Lower Great Southern, Mid-West, Pilbara and South Coast regions to compete in the historic event which has been running since 1923.

Tournament Director Deanne Maloney says that with the 2020 event postponed due to the COVID 19 pandemic, it was brilliant to have the tournament go ahead in spite of the disruption caused by Cyclone Seroja.

“The CBH Country Championships are an important competition on the tournaments calendar and it was wonderful to see this year’s event go ahead,”

“Despite a few disruptions caused by Cyclone Seroja, the event was held in good spirit and with plenty of standout performances both on and off the court,” Maloney said.

Longstanding supporters of country tennis, CBH Group have sponsored the Country Tennis Championships for more than ten years.
