Tennis West are pleased to announce the 11/u and 13/u teams selected to represent Western Australia at the Australian Teams Championships from 29 June – 4 July at KDV Sport in Carrara, Queensland.

This year, the 11/u and 13/u Australian Team Championships have been revamped, with the event previously being held during the December Showdown at Melbourne Park and catering for 12/u and 14/u athletes.

The Australian Team Championships is the most prestigious team event that 11/u and 13/u athletes can be selected for.

The Australian Teams Championships will see teams play against some of the most talented players from around Australia, as well as several international teams from the Asia-Pacific region.

National Academy Manager – WA, Tom George is proud of the team selected and is confident they will excel, and represent their state with pride and commitment.

“It is a great honour to represent Western Australia at the Australian Teams Championships. We are extremely proud of the players selected.”

“The players have warranted selection through excellent tournament results and wonderful attitudes on and off court.”

“The players are thrilled to be selected and excited for the opportunity to play against the best in the country and the international teams.”

“The new look format on the Gold Coast is exciting for the players to experience and we wish them all the best of luck.” Mr George said.

The Australian Teams Championships will commence on Saturday 29 June, with the 11/U event played on hardcourts, and the 13/U event played on clay.
