West Australian Tennis Clubs across the State will share in over $300,000 worth of funding through the Community Infrastructure Grants program, awarded by the Australian Government.

The successful outcome of the AusSport Funding initiative is the result of combined collaboration between club presidents, committees and Tennis West, Places to Play staff, who continue to advocate for improvements and accessibility of tennis facilities across the state.

The recent funding grants awarded to West Australian Tennis Clubs sees tennis as the highest funded sport in the state, sharing in the Australian Governments $4.6m commitment to the sport.

Tennis specific grants were awarded to Safety Bay, Nedlands, Yerecoin, Yuna, Bunbury, Manning and Blue Gum Park tennis clubs, where funds will assist with court and facility upgrades. Funding will also contribute to accessibility improvements with lighting and Book a Court additions.
