12 October 2017 | Tennis West

Tennis West and Tennis Australia have a zero tolerance approach to any form of child-abuse and are committed to ensuring the sport of tennis provides a safe and friendly environment for children and young people. All of us in the Australian tennis community have a role to play in ensuring that we keep our proud sport as safe and enjoyable as possible.

Tennis Australia has recently released Safeguarding Children Guidelines and a Club Resource Kit, developed following a national review conducted by the Australian Childhood Foundation. These resources are available at tennis.com.au/childsafe, and all club committee members are encouraged to read and apply the content.

To assist you and your club to meet its obligations under the Safeguarding Children Guidelines and become familiar with the Club Resource Kit, Tennis West will be running a number of information and training workshops across the Perth metropolitan area. Please click here for dates and location details.

Clubs are strongly encouraged to have a committee member attend one of these workshops.

Please RSVP with the names of attendees and your preferred workshop venue to [email protected] by close of business Monday 16 October 2017.
