Tennis West, with the support of the Department of Sport & Recreation, offer athletes living in Regional WA the opportunity to participate in the Regional Talent Development (RTD) Program.

The objectives of this program are to;

  1. Develop regional players
  2. Provide greater opportunities for creating long term player development

 

The 2016-2017 RTD Program offers a subsidised interstate tour for athletes living in regional WA, who reached the quarterfinals of the 2016 Women in Tennis Foundation & D’Arcy Slater Cup or better, and were born between 2003 -2005.

 

Nine regional WA athletes, accepted the invitation, and recently competed in Darwin at both the NT Age Championships & Darwin Age Titles.

Brock Dawson – Lower Great Southern – 16 & U Consolation Winner

Grace Fisher – Central Districts – 16 & U Singles Consolation Winner

Lachlan Lord – South West – 14 & U Singles Consolation Winner

Samuel McLean – Central Districts

Anneliese Mellick – Central Districts

Hannah Nichols – South West – 12 & U Doubles Finalist, 12 & U Singles Consolation Winner

Breanna Page – Upper Great Southern

Angela Stokes – Central Districts – 16 & U Singles Consolation Finalist
