National Academy athleteMaddison Inglis has achieved Australian Institute of Sport full scholarship status by fulfilling the performance criteria requirements based on ranking, results and participation.

As an AIS full scholarship holder, Maddy is entitled to the following benefits:

– Assigned accountable coach
– Medical, physiotherapy and massage therapy
– Fitness, strength and conditioning
– Access to Sport Science
– Accommodation costs
– Travel costs (flight expenses) and international insurance (for program related travel)
– Education support.

Maddy has chosen to continue training with the National AcademyWA where she will follow a Junior ITF / Pro Tour schedule in 2013/2014.

Below is a list of Maddy’s significant results so far in 2013:

– ITF Junior ranking has dropped from 1440 to 133 in the world in 2013
– Current Australian Ranking – 41
– Qualified and made the Quarter Finals of her first $10,000 Pro Circuit event in Sumter, SC, USA.
– Winner of the Victorian Junior Claycourt International, ITF Junior event, Grade 4
– Winner of the Strive4College Queensland Winter International, ITF Junior event, Grade 4
– Finalist of the New Zealand 18 & Under Summer Championships, ITF Junior event, Grade 3
– Semi Finalist Oceana Closed Junior Championships, ITF Junior event, Grade B2
– Finished 3rd place in the 16’s and 14’s Australian National Championships

Maddy and Andrew Roberts depart on the Tennis Australia B1 Asia Tour on Wednesday 16th October for three Junior ITF events. We wish Maddy all the best on the tour.
