Perth’s State Tennis Centre and the Margaret River Tennis Club are set to host two Women’s International Tournaments this spring as part of the 2013 ITF Pro-Tour throughout Australia.

The Pro-Tour is the biggest tennis tournament that is held in Western Australia (WA) outside of the Hyundai Hopman Cup. It attracts a crop of up-and-coming tennis stars from around Australia and the world, to compete for $25,000 in prize money and valuable World Ranking Points.

The Pro-Tour provides a bridge for players looking to establish themselves in the WTA and ATP tour.

This is the first time that the Pro-Tour will visit both Perth and Margaret River. The tournaments will not only showcase WA to the international competitors and their travelling parties, but also give WA female players the chance to compete in their own backyard.
