At Mornington Tennis Centre, community is at the heart of everything they do. Whether it’s offering a welcoming place for people of all ages to enjoy tennis or creating pathways for players to grow and thrive, this club has truly established itself as thriving tennis community.

Their achievements demonstrate the clubs ongoing committment to building a vibrant, inclusive community. Mornington Tennis Centre are the only club on the Mornington Peninsula to offer a weekly all-abilities tennis program and have been recognised by Special Olympics Victoria as an official host venue for Special Olympic tennis programs. Their December 2024 All Abilities Day was a true highlight, welcoming over 200 participants to the courts in a celebration of tennis for everyone.

Facility improvements are another area where Mornington Tennis Centre has shown incredible leadership and initiative. In 2024/25 alone, they have successfully fundraised over $100,000 to upgrade eight courts to LED lighting and more than $50,000 to self-fund a new ITF Level 1 Terre Davis Clay surface, due for completion this winter.

With tennis pathways catering to players as young as three years old through to their 90s, Mornington Tennis Centre offers something for everyone. Their night competitions run five days a week, creating countless opportunities for members to stay active, connected, and competitive.

Among the many highlights during the past year, hosting the 2024 Victorian School Boys and School Girls Tournament, with 350 players attending, and witnessing their youngest ever association player, aged just five, take the court are proud moments that truly reflect the spirit and future of the club.

Through its outstanding programs, facilities, leadership, and genuine passion for community connection, Mornington Tennis Centre is a inspring example of what a tennis club can achieve and the value they can create for their community. Congratulations to Mornington Tennis Centre, our Affiliate of the Month!
