Congratulations to Eildon Park Tennis Club, proudly recognised as our Affiliate of the Month for July! Over the past year, Eildon Park Tennis Club has undergone a big transformation that has been driven by a strong commitment to innovation, community inclusion, and sustainability.
At the heart of their journey is a powerful sense of pride, not just in their facilities, but in creating a club where everyone feels welcome. Eildon Park Tennis Club is currently taking part in the Rainbow Ready program, a proactive step in improving access and support for the LGBTQIA+ community through engagement and outreach. The club also holds an Access Ability Key and proudly hosts blind tennis, demonstrating their passion for creating inclusive spaces for all abilities. The club is also hosting weekly ‘Rainbow Cardio Tennis’ sessions which are open to everyone! (Refer to the flyer attached below to find out more info).
Their commitment to accessibility has gone hand-in-hand with major upgrades to infrastructure and member experience. Eildon Park Tennis Club has shifted to a self-service model that opens their courts to members and non-members alike, any time of day. They’ve expanded online court bookings with fully integrated lighting across all nine courts, a significant upgrade from their previous three. With LED lights now installed on all courts, plus solar panels on the clubhouse roof, the club is seeing significant energy savings whilst lowering their environmental footprint.
To improve the playing experience, Eildon Park Tennis Club has resurfaced six courts to complete a full set of blue courts and added permanent court seating on every court. A tennis ball machine, vending machine, and improved clubhouse and carpark lighting, round out a suite of thoughtful upgrades all focused on putting the player first.
