American Jarmere Jenkins and Ellen Allgurin of Sweden have claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles at the Hutchinson Builders Toowoomba International over the weekend.

Jenkins, seeded third, thwarted what would have been the perfect comeback from injury for top seed Luke Saville by winning their final 6-3 7-5.

Saville had been sidelined since early August after injuring his lower back at a Challenger event in Canada.

Jenkins now holds a 10-match winning streak after winning the Pro Tour title in Cairns in the week preceding Toowoomba.

Meanwhile, Allgurin overcame fourth seed Jessica Moore of Australia, triumphing 6-1 6-3 to win her second ITF title.

This week the Australian Pro Tour heads west for the Perth Tennis International at the State Tennis Centre.
