Tennis legend Chris Evert believes Sam Stosur needs to address the psychological side of her game if she is to adapt her “beautiful” style to success at Wimbledon.

The 18-time Grand Slam champion, speaking alongside John McEnroe as part of an ESPN teleconference previewing next week’s tournament in SW19, said that the Australian was among a number of outsiders for the game’s most prestigious title.

“You could look at Sam Stosur (as a chance), players that have all-around versatile games, that are good athletes,” she said.

“I think grass favors the athleticism because you have to have good balance and know how to move smoothly on the grass.”
