Australian John Peers and Scottish partner Jamie Murray have upset the top-seeded Bob and Mike Bryan in the second round of the doubles event at London’s Queen’s Club.
Peers and Murray claimed a 7-6(6) 7-6(3) victory to advance to a quarterfinal showdown with Kevin Anderson and Jonathan Erlich.
The victory was especially sweet given the Bryans had comfortably beaten Peers and Murray at Roland Garros, and also ended their bid at Queen’s last year in the quarterfinals.
The Australian-Scottish duo have won four titles together, their most recent coming at the ATP claycourt event in Munich in May.
They will play their doubles quarterfinal at Queen’s Club on Friday.
