Australians Jarmila Gajdosova, Olivia Rogowska and James Duckworth have won their respective qualifying matches on a rain-affected Wednesday at Roland Garros.

In women’s first round action, Gajdosova and Rogowska were in blistering form, straight-setting Chanel Simmonds and Ons Jabeur respectively.

On the men’s side, Duckworth recovered from the loss of the first set to defeat Illya Marchenko in three.

The rains forced the cancellation of Thanasi Kokkinakis’ and Sam Groth’s matches, and the suspension of Storm Sanders’ – the lefty trails Serbian Aleksandra Krunic 6-3.
