Top four seeds Bradley Mousley, Harry Bouchier, Marc Polmans and Akira Santillan have progressed to the semifinals of the Australian 18-and-under Championships at Melbourne Park.

Each of them won in straight sets to set up exciting final four battles, which will pit Mousley (1) against Santillan (4) and Bourchier (2) against Polmans (3) on Friday.

In the girls’ 18s event, No.2 seed Kimberly Birrell lead the seeded charge into the semifinals with a thrilling victory in a third-set tiebreak over Lizette Cabrera.

Joining Birrell in the semifinals with wins on Thursday were fifth seed Maddison Inglis, No.6 seed Andrea Dikosavljevic and eighth seed Zoe Hives.
