Australia’s Men’s Wheelchair Tennis team have been honoured at the New South Wales Sports Federation 2013 Sports Awards by winning the Team with a Disability category.
The team, represented by NSW-based Ben Weekes, Adam Kellerman and Keegan Oh-Chee, won the award ahead of four other finalists from power football, netball, goalball and rugby.
The team defeated Greece in the final of the Men’s World Group 2 at the BNP Paribas World Team Cup in Antalya, Turkey, a victory which saw Australia qualify for the prestigious Men’s World Group in 2014.
Oh-Chee was also a finalist in the Young Athlete of the Year with a Disability category.
And the accolades continue to roll in for the Australian wheelchair team, which was crowned Best Team of the Year at the recent NSW Wheelchair Sports Awards. That same night, Oh-Chee won the Best Young Athlete of the Year.
