Jarmila Gajdosova has taken her winning streak to five matches and progressed to the semifinals of the WTA Nanjing Ladies Open.

The Aussie, currently ranked No.300 after an illness-induced six-month layoff, beat Chinese wildcard Wang Qiang 6-3 2-6 6-1 to set up a last-four clash with fourth seed Ayumi Morita.

Gajdosova, who won two matches simply to qualify for the main draw at the WTA 125K event, took to Twitter to express her excitement following the win.

“Wasn’t pretty but fought hard, ran hard and I made it to semifinal! Win is a win, nobody can take that away from me,” she wrote.

She will take on the 63rd-ranked Morita on Saturday afternoon.
