The Australian Olympic tennis team has settled into the Olympic Village as they prepare for Friday night’s Opening Ceremony (London time).

The Australian Olympic tennis team has settled into the Olympic Village as they prepare for Friday night’s Opening Ceremony (London time).
Sam Stosur, Casey Dellacqua, Anastasia Rodionova, Jarmila Gajdosova, Lleyton Hewitt and Bernard Tomic have been hard at work practicing at Wimbledon in preparation for the tennis event, which begins on Saturday.

Sam Stosur, Anastasia Rodionova and Casey Dellacqua have been busy posting images of themselves on Twitter and Facebook with BK the boxing kangaroo, teammates, athletes from other sports and even of their lodgings in the Olympic Village.

As well as spending time on the practice courts, the players have spent time meeting other athletes from around the world in the bustling Olympic Village and at the Australian team’s reception.
At the reception the Australian team was entertained by Australian music icon John Farnham.
“How good is Johnny Farnham!!! Loved listening to him belt out a few tunes tonight at our team reception #legend,” Casey Dellacqua tweeted to her more than 6800 followers.
Following the Opening Ceremony, which will begin at 5:30 am (view the TV Guide), it will be down to business as the players join over 10,000 athletes in their shared dream of bringing home Olympic gold.
