Benefits provided to the School

In consideration of the School complying with its obligations, TA will provide the School with the following benefits:

  1. an initial program specific equipment pack and financial year renewing gift;
  2. free participation for teachers at yearly professional learning run by TA;
  3. an equipment replenishment gift provided to the School upon the completion of the yearly School participation survey;
  4. ability to purchase discounted tennis equipment through the online store;
  5. ability to apply for the National Court Rebate funding;
  6. quarterly e-newsletter communication;
  7. program branding suite including logo;
  8. ability for a nominated teacher of the School to win a trip to the AO Grand Slam Teachers Conference held each year;
  9. ability for the School to be nominated for the ‘Newcombe School of the Year Award.’ All finalists will be flown to Melbourne for the Newcombe Medal event; and
  10. ability for a Program participant to win a “Kids on Court” experience at the Australian Open (AO) and AO series events or other VIP tennis experience each year.

 

Requirements of the School

In consideration of the School complying with its obligations, the School agrees to:

  1. ensure that all teachers, volunteers and other members involved in the running of the Program at the School comply with the terms of this Agreement;
  2. include tennis in the health and physical education curriculum for a minimum of 4 weeks each year. This can be achieved through use of a School teacher or an external coach (the cost of which is to be borne by the School);
  3. maintain its partnership with the Program Partner and if requested, allow the Program Partner to organise and run tennis lessons at the school;
  4. arrange for the primary contact (PE Teacher/Sports Coordinator) to participate in the free professional learning run by TA each year (either face to face workshop or online tutorial);
  5. form a student committee who will be responsible for ensuring that tennis equipment is available to students at lunch times at least twice a week, one Term per year;
  6. organise and run at least one intra school tennis competition per year at the School utilising INtennisCITY  (for example, during lunch time or after school at the end of the block of sessions);
  7. comply with terms and conditions of the Australian Sports Commissions Sporting Schools;
  8. comply with any Program guidelines and policies provided to the School by TA from time to time;
  9. ensure that all teachers, volunteers and other members involved in the running of the Program at the School obtain current Working with Children Checks (evidence of checks must be provided to TA upon request);
  10. comply with all reasonable directions issued by TA in connection with the Program;
  11. participate in all meetings and briefings reasonably required by TA;
  12. provide TA with information relating to the Program including the student participation list if and when requested by TA
