Long-standing partner of Tennis West, the CBH Group has signed for another two years as the key partner of country tennis in Western Australia. The generous support of CBH helps invigorate Tennis West’s regionally-focused tennis programs and provides resources to grow the game in regional areas of the state.

CBH sponsors the CBH Group Tennis West Country Tour, which offers tennis clinics and competitions to grain growing communities across WA during one week each year, as well as being the naming rights partner of the CBH Group Country Tennis Championships.

The annual CBH Group Country Tennis Championships – which will celebrate its 100th year in 2023 – allows a significant number of regional players across a wide range of age groups to come together for a three-day tennis event in Perth.

An established supporter of country tennis, CBH Group has sponsored the Country Tennis Championships for more than ten years.

Tennis West CEO Brett Patten said sport was an integral part of the lives of regional communities and Tennis West was seeking to continue to grow the opportunities available for players around the state.

“The talent that is emerging from our regions is simply exceptional and we look forward to supporting these players in their development as they continue their tennis journey,” said Brett.

“The CBH Group Country Championships is always a fantastic display of tennis and we’re looking to build on this event to make it bigger and stronger to ensure this is a significant event on the tennis calendar for many more years to come.”

The historic event has been running since 1923 and sees players represent their region in Singles and Doubles events, from U10s to Open Divisions.

“CBH Group has been a generous supporter of tennis over the past ten years and we appreciate the ongoing commitment to grow grassroots tennis throughout WA,” said Brett.

CBH Group’s Chief External Relations Officer David Paton said the co-operative is proud to continue its support of Tennis West.

“Our partnership with Tennis West will continue to foster participation and provide opportunities for up-and-coming athletes in our regional communities,” said David.

“In addition to this, is the broader community benefit, with sports such as tennis playing an important role in helping to improve health, wellbeing and connection in our regional communities.”
