Notice is hereby given for the 118th Annual General Meeting of the Western Australian Tennis Association (Inc) trading as ‘Tennis West’ to be held on Tuesday 23 November 2021 commencing at 6.30pm at Blue Gum Park Tennis Club (Disney Street, Brentwood)

Please note the following important information:

Venue
The AGM will this year be held at Blue Gum Park Tennis Club, located at Disney Street, Brentwood at 6.30pm, with doors opening from 6pm.

Annual General Meeting RSVP
You MUST register to attend, whether online or in person. Please confirm your attendance via this link. Please note that up to three members may attend per club, but only one delegate per club is eligible to vote.

Elections for Tennis West Board
Seven (7) Nominations were received for the two (2) Tennis West Director Positions for election at the AGM.
Information regarding the nominees is available here, along with recommendations from the Tennis West Board regarding the nominees.

Voting
Under the new constitution, voted in at the Special General Meeting on 27 July 2021, online voting will be conducted for voting of Tennis West Board Director positions. Utilising the secure ‘GoVote’ platform, online voting will open Monday 8 November and close at 12:00pm on Tuesday 23 November, the day of the Annual General Meeting. There will be no voting taking place in person at the AGM. The announcement of successful Board Directors will occur at the AGM.

Recognised Delegates – Voting
Under the Tennis West Constitution, the President or Secretary is the appointed delegate for your club.

Detailed information regarding the voting process will be sent via email to Club Presidents next week. Please check junk/spam inboxes on 4 November 2021 and 8 November 2021 for emails from “GoVote” regarding this.
 
Number of Votes
The number of votes a club is entitled to is detailed in the constitution as one (1) vote per club, plus one (1) additional vote for every fifty (50) club members, excluding non-playing club members, as at the 30 June falling within the 12 months preceding the meeting.

This information will be loaded into the GoVote ballot manager system by Tennis West in advance of the ballot opening.

Recognised Delegates – Annual General Meeting Attendance
Should you wish to send another representative from your club to the AGM to act as the club delegate, please also have them use the above RSVP link. An Alternate Delegate Form MUST be filled out and provided to Tennis West in advance. This form needs to be signed by the President or Secretary and the alternate delegate MUST be a current member of the Club’s Committee.
