Notice is hereby given for the 117th Annual General Meeting of the Western Australian Tennis Association (Inc) trading as “Tennis West” to be held on Thursday 29th October commencing at 6.30pm at Reabold Tennis Club (24 Oceanic Drv, Floreat)

Venue:

The AGM will this year be held at Reabold Tennis Club, located at 24 Oceanic Drv, Floreat at 6.30pm.

 

Recognized Delegates & Proxies

Under the Tennis West Constitution, the President or Secretary is the appointed delegate for your club.

 

Should you wish to send another representative from your club to the AGM to act as the club delegate, an Alternate Delegate Form MUST be filled out and emailed to Tennis West ([email protected]) or brought with the representative on the evening.  This form needs to be signed by the President or Secretary and the alternate delegate MUST be a current member of the Club’s Committee.

 

Should you wish to appoint a Delegate of another Affiliated Body to be the proxy of that absentee Delegate and to exercise the Delegate’s votes, a Proxy Form must be completed. .

Please ensure you forward any relevant meeting information onto your appointed proxy.

 

Please note the rules extracted from the Tennis West constitution surrounding Alternate Delegates and Proxies can be found on Page 2 & 3 of the Proxy Form and Alternate Delegates Form.

We strongly recommend emailing through the form prior to the AGM so we can ensure it’s validity prior to the meeting.

 

Elections for Tennis West Board

10 Nominations were received for the 2 Tennis West Director Positions for election at the AGM.

Information regarding the nominees has been sent to each club.

 

Number of Votes

The number of votes a club is entitled to is detailed in the constitution as 1 vote per club, plus one additional vote for every 50 current registered tennis users* of the club (as at the 30 June falling within the 12 months preceding the meeting). Should you wish to know in advance how many votes your club is entitled to, please email Paula Gates on [email protected]

 

*Registered User means a player who has used the facility in the last 12 months and the club has full access to their information such as name, email, phone number. This information, if required, can be viewed by Tennis West as part of an auditing process. Coaching participants cannot be included unless the club has full access to these participant’s details.

 

Thriving Tennis Communities

Whilst the vote count is taking place, Tennis West Regional Tennis Managers, Rob Kennedy & Michelle Magdy will present on ‘Thriving Tennis Communities’ – what it is, the 8 pillars, how it links with the Tennis West Strategic Plan, and the proposed rollout to clubs.
