We’re proud to shine a spotlight on Rick Dal Bon from Taylors Lakes Tennis Club, as our Community Champion for November 2025, for his incredible dedication and contribution to the local tennis community in Victoria!
Rick has been a member of Taylors Lakes Tennis Club for 18 years, and has served on the committee for 12 years. First as a general committee member for 2 years, then as Vice President for 2 years, and now as President for 8 years. Having lived in the community for 30 years, Rick’s commitment goes far beyond the court.
As Rick explains: “I have been privileged to meet so many wonderful families over my years at the tennis club. In addition to this, I get to meet many visiting families who compete against our teams at Taylors Lakes. With thanks to the Brimbank Council and our local State Minister (Natalie Hutchins), we are well set up to ensure that we continue to be a safe and inclusive club that the community is proud of.”
Rick’s dedication was especially evident in the opening of the club’s new clubhouse, a project that took 2 years to complete. The grand opening was attended by 3 Tennis Victoria staff members and numerous local government representatives. Rick personally dedicated thousands of volunteer hours from the planning stages right through to the official opening, ensuring the club continues to thrive.
Rick’s leadership, vision, and commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment are exactly the qualities we love to see: a true community leader making a lasting impact in Victorian tennis.
Well done, Rick, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for your outstanding contribution to our tennis community!
