Regional Team Event Series No.1 was a great success. The event took place over two days at McEwen Reserve, Shepparton for the 10/U and 12/U and at Wodonga for the 14/U and Junior Open players.

A massive thank you to McEwen Reserve President Greg Comer for his assistance with the venue, courts, amenities, BBQ and kitchen and to Craig Farrar at Wodonga for his efforts and commitment. To Sam as the assistant Event Director, thank you for your efforts to get players on court on the Saturday morning.

A special mention to all team managers whether nominated, volunteered or asked, we thank you for your efforts to get the players on courts, warm, hydrated and interested.

Our Referee Stef provided wisdom and education to the players and parents, and awarded the following players Rebel gift voucher awards:

• 12/U Wimmera – Sienna  – For being a good sport and complimenting her opponent. Three parents mentioned this to the Referee across the event.
• 10’s Mornington Peninsula Region – Noah – For looking after an upset opponent and continuing to ask kindly if he was ok.
• 10’s Goulburn – Eva – Congratulations on her first competitive play experience and her first ever tiebreak and first ever MTB.
• 10’s North East – Hugh, Will, & Evie – For offering to help dry the courts.
