31 July 2023 | Tennis Victoria

It’s a double down on the celebrations for this month’s Affiliate’s of the Month. Firstly we are recognising three clubs in August, the Beaumaris Lawn Tennis Club, the Narre Warren North Tennis Club and the Officer Tennis Club.

Congratulations to these three clubs who are also the winners of the Community Engagement Awards from the Tennis Victoria Pennant Push-Up Challenge.

The Push-Up Challenge is Australia’s largest mental health and fitness event. It ran from 1 to 23 June, the aim was to do a prescribed number of push-ups per day, and have a lot of fun while doing it.

The TV Pennant Round across 3-4 June was a dedicated Push-Up Challenge Themed round. Clubs were encouraged to sign up for The Push-Up Challenge, get their participants registered and also be creative with photos and videos demonstrating their involvement.

The three clubs each collect a $500 Community Engagement Award for their efforts.

The Officer Tennis Club completed a whopping 18,937 push ups, Narre Warren North Tennis Club pumped out 15,525 push ups and Beaumaris Lawn smashed out 11,480! Across the three clubs over $4,500 was raised for The Push Up Challenge.

See what Beaumaris Lawn Tennis Club got up to here.

The Push Up Challenge has raised over $14 million for mental health so far in 2023 and over 315,000 push ups have been smashed.

Congratulations again to Officer, Narre Warren North and Beaumaris Lawn Tennis Clubs, and an extended thank you to your communities for their involvement and amazing efforts in The Push-Up Challenge.
