The team from St Andrew Anglican College on the Sunshine Coast (Toby Everard, Zara Larke, Larissa Tylim, Fletch Lumb and Ben Lorentsen) defeated Fig Tree Pocket State School after a tie break at the Orange Ball State Finals on Saturday.

Fig Tree Pocket State School won the first doubles (6-5) with the second doubles going to St. Andrews (5-4). St Andrew’s clenched the tie breaker game to be crowned overall champions.

This is the first time that the finals were held during the Brisbane International 2015. Forty-two schools competed in regional qualifying events with the top eight schools progressing to compete at the state finals.
