26 March 2014 | Tennis Queensland

During the month of March, Tennis Australia held a Line Umpires course. The course was well attended. Current officials also came along to assist with support and sharing of information to our new friends. This course was the first practical step with new people interested in becoming a Line Umpire. Many have the ambition of officiating at the Brisbane International in the not to distance future.

LU training March

Professional Development Day for Chair Umpires. On Sunday 23rd of March, Tennis Australia provided the opportunity for current Queensland Chair Umpires of various levels of accreditation to attend a workshop covering many aspects of the Chair Umpire techniques. The workshop covered such techniques as communication, image, goal setting and self-evaluation. The day was well attended and great feedback was received. We will be aiming to have more of these workshops in the future.
