Competition Recommendations

  • Maintain a balance between coaching and competition
  • Achieve a win loss ratio of between 2:1 and 3:1 throughout the year
  • Be prepared to adjust the competition schedule based on win loss ratio
  • Athletes learn more about their strengths and weaknesses
  • Have an experienced coach observe the athlete’s progress during matches
  • Learning to compete well is one of the most important skills to learn
