No.1 seeds Da Silva-Fick, Crnokrak into 16/u finals
As top seeds Gabriella Da Silva-Fick and Alexander Crnokrak reached the 16/u Australian finals on Saturday, Amor Jasika emulated older brother Omar in the 12/u event.

Gabriella Da Silva-Fick, the top seed in the girls’ 16/u Australian Championships, advanced to the final on Saturday with a 7-5 6-4 win over No.7 seed Ivana Popovic.
The boys’ 16/u No.1 seed, Alexander Crnokrak, also cruised into the final with a 6-2 6-1 defeat of Dayne Sweeny.
There Crnokrak will meet second seed Matthew Dellavedova, who brushed aside No.4 seed Thomas Bosancic 6-3 6-2.
Da Silva-Fick avoids second seed and 14/u champion Olivia Gadecki in the final – Gadecki’s nine-match winning streak came to an end at the hands of Selina Turulja, who beat the Queenslander 6-3 6-3.
In the boys’ 12/ Championships, Amor Jasika will like older sibling Omar appear on the final Sunday of the December Showdown.
A day after Omar advanced to the Australian Open Play-off final, Amor beat No.4 seed Jeremy Jin in straight sets to take his place in the 12/u decider.
There he will meet second seed Lennon Jones, a 6-4 6-2 winner over third seed Kousuke Morita.
The girls’ final of the 12/u Australian Championships pits No.1 seedĀ Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz and third seed Hana Sonton.
Kempenaers-Pocz defeated Talia Gibson, the No.4 seed, 6-4 6-3, while Sonton overcame 11th seed Shanelle Iaconi 7-5 6-2.
The 16/u and 12/u boys’ and girls’ finals will take place at Melbourne Park on Sunday.
