Tennis fans are invited to attend the Gallipoli Youth Cup dinner on Saturday 20 April.

Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash will join Turgut Kacmac, son of the last Turkish veteran of Gallipoli and hosts Mehmet Apak, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey Melbourne and Oscar Yildiz, JP Mayor of Moreland City Council for the occasion.

The Gallipoli Youth Cup (22-28 April) is an ITF Junior Grade 4 tournament encouraging the younger generation to proudly and uniquely carry on the tradition and values inherited from the soldiers who fought at Gallipoli.

Through their on-going participation and competition in tennis, junior players are given the opportunity to commemorate war veterans and keep the ANZAC spirit alive. The tournament will be played at Melbourne Park clay courts for the first time.
