Well, after 24 days of high-quality tennis, December Showdown 2012 came to a close on a glorious Friday afternoon at Melbourne Park. It was a fitting ending to what was an entertaining event showcasing some of Australia’s finest players.

• 40 teams (12s & 14s teams events)
• South Australia were victorious in the Champions Race, with their 47 athletes earning 197 points during the Showdown
• 1557 matches
• 3359 sets
• 27,997 games
• 8400 tennis Balls
• 960 bottles of Powerade
• 1920 bottles of water
• 600kg of ice
• 25 courts used at any one point in time
• 14.2 mm of rain during playing time over seven wet days
• Courts were cleaned 16 times during playing hours
