NZ and WA take top honours at 14s teams finals
New Zealand win the boys' and WA take the girls' title in the 14s teams championships.

The winners of the 2011 Optus 14s Australian Team Championships were decided after play was delayed by wet weather yesterday.
In the boys’ event, New Zealand represented by Kyle Butters, William Matheson and Connor Heap defeated Jake Delaney (Sydney, NSW), William Berrigan (Blakehurst, NSW) and Alexander Furniss (West Pennant Hills, NSW) from New South Wales to win the Sproule Stephens Trophy.

The match was decided in the doubles when New Zealand pair Butters and Matheson overcame Delaney and Furniss 6-4 6-1 to win the title.
In the girls’ competition, Western Australia’s Anja Dokic (Tuart Hill, WA), Ivana Vojinovic (Booragoon, WA) and Maddison Inglis (Maida Vale, WA) defeated defending champions Queensland to take home the Mary Hawton Trophy.
Dokic and Inglis ousted Lizette Cabrera (Townsville, Qld) and Priscilla Hon (Rochedale, Qld) in a thrilling final rubber 6-2 4-6 12-10.

The Optus 14s and 18s Championships begins this week, followed by the 16s from December 5 and the Australian Open wildcard play-off.
