Queensland girls Sara Tomic and Priscilla Hon have advanced to the quarter final Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt and Santa Margherita Di Pula, Italy respectively.

Tomic overcame Thailand’s Tamachan Momkoonthod (THA) 6-1 3-6 6-3 to take the victory in Egypt and will now take on fifth seed Noppawan Lertcheewakarn (THA).

Hon took out the win against Nicole Rottmann (AUT) in straight sets 6-4 6-2 to cement her quarter final berth. Hon now comes up against Italy’s Camilla Scala.
