The recent Regional Team Event in Bendigo brought together over 140 players from 10 country regions for a weekend of high-quality competition and community spirit. Despite some challenging weather conditions, the event ran with minimal delays, thanks to strong coordination and commitment from all involved.
Hosted at an exceptional venue, the standard of tennis on display was nothing short of outstanding. Across the weekend, players competed in seven rounds and 80 matches, resulting in 320 singles sets and 140 doubles sets played, using a total of 640 tennis balls.
A highlight of the event was the diverse representation in the Grand Finals, with seven different regions featured across the four events. The complete list of Grand Final results, photos, and final ladder positions is below.
Tennis Victoria sincerely thanks the Regional Team Advisors for their efforts in preparing teams ahead of the weekend and the dedicated Team Managers who supported and guided players throughout the competition.
With its continued support and hospitality, the City of Greater Bendigo once again proved why it’s a standout destination for regional tennis. Its top-tier facilities and welcoming community help make events like the Regional Team Event such a success year after year.
