The inaugural Learn 2 Lead program commenced on Sunday 23 July, the beginning of a youth leadership journey targeting girls and gender diverse young people aged 14-18 years.

Twelve participants are unreeling an 8 week journey, bookended with face to face sessions and filled with weekly online sessions that explore gender, leadership, communication, confidence, voice, community engagement, growth, resilience and their own leadership pathway.

Congratulations to the inaugural participants – Akira Mishima-Hardy (Macedon Tennis Club), Caitlin Dunn (Cobram Lawn Tennis Club), Charlotte Hutchings (Berwick & District Tennis Association), Chloe Anderson (Warrnambool Beachside Tennis Club), Eila Thornton (Yackandandah Tennis Club), Janet Duncan (Briagolong Tennis Club), Jess O’Dwyer (Thurgoona Tennis Club), Mia Stefanovska (Hume Tennis & Community Centre), Mia Penyalow (Sunbury Lawn Tennis Club), Olivia Uren (Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club), Paris Tong (Keysborough Tennis Club), and Siobhan Edwards (Burwood Tennis Club).

Part of the program includes considering how participants will implement their learnings in the own club environment (their Action Learning Project).

The progam will wrap up with a graduation on Saturday 9 September at Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club.
