After an enthralling last round at Kooyong, the Grand Final matchups have been decided.
MCC Glen Iris Valley will play Kooyong in the Women’s Division Final and MCC Glen Iris Valley will play Hume in the Men’s Final.
In the Women’s matchups, MCC jumped to first place after a 2-1 win over Harkaway. On the back of an impressive doubles outing from Genevieve Lorbergs and Zoe Hives (winning 6-1 6-1) and Alana Parnaby winning 6-3, 6-2.
Royal South Yarra had an impressive 3-0 win against grand finalists Kooyong. Erica Layton won 6-2, 6-3 over Gabby Villegas and Kimberly Birrell won in straight sets over Belinda Woolcock 6-2, 6-4.
In the other Women’s matchup, Grace Park Hawthorn defeated RMIT Bundoora.
In the Men’s Division, all eyes were on the RMIT Bundoora and Hume match, with a grand final position on the line. Hume took full advantage of their opportunity, winning 2-1. Corey Gaal sealed the win in a 10-7 tiebreak defeating Ken Cavrak after an impressive day where he won the Victorian Hardcourt Championships earlier in the afternoon.
MCC won their match up and took some form going into the final defeating Beaumaris Lawn 3-0 and Kooyong defeated Royal South Yarra in the other matchup 2-1.
