Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce the 2019 Pizzey Cup team.

These students will take to the courts in Adelaide, South Australia between 4 May and 11 May in what will surely be a captivating presentation of tennis.

The Pizzey Cup is a prestigious national schools tennis championships open to students from year seven through to year 12 inclusive.

The Pizzey Cup is conducted by SSA in partnership with Tennis Australia. The national event attracts Australian Ranking points. In addition, an individual 18/u singles event, attracting Platinum AR points, known as the Australia Cup, is run in conjunction with the Teams event.

Tennis Victoria Player Support and Events Administrator, Jessica McCormack is hopeful that Victoria will bring home some strong results.

“We would like to congratulate the 16 players that were selected to represent Victoria, it’s a substantial accomplishment. They have all been selected not only based on their talent, but also for having a great attitude and being great team players,” McCormack said.

“We hope they enjoy their time in Adelaide and are able to look back on this event as a highlight of their journey playing junior tennis.

“In the past we have had strong results and we’re confident this team will continue that trend and do our state proud,” she said.
