Tennis Victoria Pennant is set for a big conclusion with the Grade 1 men’s and women’s finals to be held at Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club this weekend.

Centre Court Indoor will be aiming to claim both Grade 1 titles with the women’s team ready to defend their 2017 flag. While the Centre Court Indoor men’s team has come into the final after a tight finish against Glenburn TC (3-7-75 to 3-6-71).

MCC Glen Iris Valley TC will be looking to spoil the party for Centre Court Indoor following a strong win over Bundoora TC (3-7-48 to 2-5-47).

Royal South Yarra LTC will hope to capitalise on their home ground advantage when they tackle Centre Court Indoor. A comprehensive victory over Heatherdale in the semi-finals will have the home side eager to perform in front of their fans.

The event will be open for spectators to come and watch, which will showcase some of the competition’s best players.

Other Grades will also have the opportunity to claim titles at various destinations with Kooyong LTC, Dendy Park TC and Yallambie TC all hosting Grade finals.

  • Kooyong Tennis Club, 9 am:
    • Women’s Grade 2, Bundoora v Essendon
    • Women’s Grade 3, Mt. Eliza v Knox City
  • Dendy Park Tennis Club, 11 am:
    • Men’s Grade 7, Maccabi No.1 v Kings Park
    • Men’s Grade 10, Mayfield Park v Glencairn
  • Yallambie Tennis Club, 11:30 am:
    • Men’s Grade 9, Yallambie No.1 v Yallambie No.2

Due to weather delays on the opening weekend of finals, the entire competition is due to finish by next weekend.
