Following the Victorian Premier’s announcement that there is to be a Melbourne-wide lockdown for six weeks from midnight 8 July, it is with regret that we must cancel the 2020 Tennis Victoria Pennant season. We will be looking to make the 2021 season better than ever and we look forward to seeing you and your clubs back on court next year.
WHAT IS PENNANT?
Tennis Victoria Pennant is Australia’s largest inter-club competition and marks its 137th consecutive year in 2020.
The competition for both the men’s and women’s draw is played over 14 weeks. For 8 team sections each team plays each other twice.
For 6 team sections the competition is played over 15 weeks where each team plays each other 3 times. Singles and doubles are played on alternate weeks, with all rubbers played as the best of three tiebreak sets.
FIXTURES & RESULTS All Pennant results/fixtures/ladders are now found on the new Match Centre software.
