What is Pennant?

Tennis Victoria Pennant is Australia’s largest inter-club competition and marks its 137th consecutive year in 2020.

The competition for both the men’s and women’s draw is played over 14 weeks.

For 8 team sections each team plays each other twice. For 6 team sections the competition is played over 15 weeks where each team plays each other 3 times. Singles and doubles
are played on alternate weeks, with all rubbers played as the best of three tiebreak sets.
