Tennis Victoria is thrilled to be able to invest $100,000 into growing female participation in tennis through a grants scheme, which saw 30 tennis bodies receive funding.

Successful projects ranged from girls only social competitions and holiday programs to an inaugural Women’s AMT and Girls Gold Tournament. For the full list of successful applications, please see the list below.

Tennis Victoria’s General Manager – Participation, Belinda Kleverlaan, was thrilled to witness the overwhelming number of exceptional ideas.

“We were excited to see so many quality applications come in, which demonstrates that the tennis community really values how important it is to have girls and women participating in tennis,” Kleverlaan said.

The grants were designed to generate some new ideas and allow expansion of existing programs to address the decline in some areas of tennis participation, such as 12-17 year old girls playing competition tennis.

If your club wants to implement a female program, contact your Participation Leader for assistance.
