Tennis Victoria is proudly celebrating Jodi‑Anne Hasler, from Mayfield Park Tennis Club, named the Tennis Victoria Community Champion of the Month for her remarkable dedication to increasing participation and creating meaningful opportunities for women and girls at the club. A graduate of the Women Leaders in Tennis program, Jodi‑Anne has used her leadership skills and passion for community sport to drive a series of new initiatives in 2026 aimed at making tennis more welcoming, supportive, and accessible.
This year, she introduced Friday morning women‑only Cardio Tennis sessions at 7.15am and 9.30am, both delivered by her daughter and qualified coach, Ashleigh. These sessions have quickly become a vibrant and energetic weekly highlight, offering women a space to enjoy fitness, fun, and connection. To support long‑term growth in female participation, Jodi‑Anne also championed an extraordinary membership initiative: 12 months free membership for new women and girls who join the club up until June 2026, removing financial barriers and encouraging more families to give tennis a try.
Her vision extends well beyond weekly coaching sessions. She has helped create a welcoming pathway for junior girls through the Girls High Intensity Squad on Tuesday nights, offering a focused and supportive training environment. She also coordinated a Meet & Greet Afternoon Tea held on Sunday 15 February, giving new and current members an opportunity to connect socially. In addition, she has helped organise several key events throughout the year, including the club’s participation in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea on Saturday 23 May, as well as the Play4BCNA Pink Club Championships on Saturday 19 September to raise funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
Through every initiative, Jodi‑Anne has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to creating an inclusive, empowering environment for women and girls. Her leadership reflects the values of community tennis at its best. Mayfield Park is already seeing the impact through increased participation, stronger community ties, and overwhelmingly positive feedback from players and families.
Tennis Victoria congratulates Jodi‑Anne on being named Community Champion of the Month. Her contributions are strengthening the club today and helping build a more welcoming future for women and girls in tennis across Victoria.
