Tennis Victoria is proud announce a two-year partnership with UNCLOUD, a peer-to-peer platform that supports young people to see vaping for what it really is, for the Victorian State Teams Championships, Victoria’s pinnacle of junior teams tennis.

With a proud history in Victorian tennis, including its origins as the Pat Cash Cup, the UNCLOUD Victorian State Teams Championships have long brought together the state’s best young players, along with their families, coaches, and clubs, from metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. Past winners of the event, including Ana Maric, Jake Bucek, Savannah James, and Naima Luthra, demonstrate the event’s role as a key stepping stone in Victoria’s junior tennis pathway, helping the state’s top young players progress in the sport.

The event provides a high-performance, team-based environment at a critical stage of player development, while also offering a powerful platform to place youth health and wellbeing at the forefront. Through naming rights, digital channels and on-site activation, Tennis Victoria and UNCLOUD will raise awareness of the harms of vaping, connect families with trusted support, and drive positive community impact.

UNCLOUD’s purpose is simple: by sharing fact-based information and amplifying youth voices, UNCLOUD empowers young people to say no to vapes and support each other to stop vaping.

Tennis Victoria CEO, Kim Kachel said the UNCLOUD Victorian State Teams Championships are an important celebration of high-quality junior tennis and community.

“The UNCLOUD Victorian State Teams Championships continues to showcase the very best of junior team tennis in Victoria, building on its history as the Pat Cash Cup and its role in developing emerging talent. Through our partnership with UNCLOUD and VicHealth, we’re proud to use this event not only to celebrate young players but also to support families, raise awareness about the risks of vaping, and make a positive difference in our tennis community.”

VicHealth CEO, Prof. Anna Peeters AM said the partnership provides a valuable opportunity to engage with young people, so they feel supported to reject vaping.

“UNCLOUD is about backing young people to support each other with honest conversations and real experiences,” Prof. Peeters said.

“Through our partnership with Tennis Victoria for their UNCLOUD Victorian State Teams Championships, we’re reaching young people in spaces where they already feel connected and supported.“By sharing clear facts about vaping and creating space for young voices to lead, UNCLOUD helps young people cut through the noise to see vaping for what it really is. We’re proud to work with Tennis Victoria to support the wellbeing of young Victorians.”
