Congratulations to the June Affiliate of the Month, Fawkner Tennis Club.  

A competitive beast, the Fawkner TC Men’s team sit atop the Tennis Victoria State Grade ladder. They took out Div 1 at the recent Tennis Victoria State League Championships and many of the Fawkner TC players had success across country grass court tournaments in Albury and Swan Hill.  

It’s not all about competition at Fawkner. They have previously hosted an Open Day in conjunction with Sport4All – a program designed to provide for and welcome players of all abilities to local sporting clubs. Based around modified tennis, the day included the opportunity for participants to try wheelchair tennis.  

Attended by Local Councilor, Cr Annalivia Carli Hannan, it was a day for the club to showcase how to be more accessible to people with a disability.  

The Fawkner TC are leading the way in working to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all, an integral part of being a thriving tennis community.
